PHLEGM v8 Host API Migration Checkpoint
Timestamp: 2026-1007-1323-4645 (America/Phoenix)

Captured milestone:
  - Preserves the prior Host/GFX Boundary checkpoint and all SuperPET/MC6809 work.
  - Native Linux executable naming now uses the requested .elf extension.
  - Keyboard polling is routed through the host API instead of shared Win32 calls.
  - Linux host key-state translation is implemented through the Linux host layer.
  - Session window geometry, dialogs, URL/process launch, and atomic file replacement use host-neutral calls.
  - Shared redraw/rebuild paths no longer post Win32 messages directly.
  - Opaque host handles continue to replace shared HWND exposure.
  - Canonical host libraries remain:
      host_windows_32.lib
      host_windows_64.lib
      host_linux_x86.lib
      host_linux_x86_64.lib
  - Canonical graphics libraries remain:
      gfx_opengl.lib
      gfx_d3d11.lib
      gfx_vulkan.lib

Validation completed at this checkpoint:
  - PHLEGM-Linux-Compiler.sh bash -n: PASS
  - Linux .elf naming present in build and installer paths: PASS
  - Migrated shared keyboard/session/VM paths contain no direct Win32 API calls: PASS
  - Changed textual source/PowerShell files use CRLF as required: PASS

Next stage:
  - Run the real native FreeBASIC Linux compiler against this checkpoint.
  - Fix compile/link issues exposed by native Linux compilation.
  - Continue isolating the remaining large Windows GUI/display implementation behind host/gfx entry points.
  - Validate Linux x86/x86_64 with OpenGL/Vulkan and Windows 32/64 with OpenGL/D3D11.
